2. Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA). Whenever a page is requested, Netlify processes technically necessary access data, in particular your IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer and browser/device information, and stores it in server logs.
Purpose: delivering the website, security and troubleshooting. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website.
Recipients and transfers to third countries: Netlify processes the data as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA. Netlify states that it is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). Retention: logs are deleted in accordance with Netlify's retention periods. More information: netlify.com/privacy.
3. Visitor statistics
We use Netlify Analytics for anonymous visitor statistics. It is based on the server logs described in section 2; no cookies are set and no additional script runs in your browser. We only receive aggregated figures (e.g. page views, popular pages, referring sites), not data about individual persons.
Purpose: improving the website. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is understanding how the website is used.
4. Contact by email and contact form
If you contact us by email or via the contact form, we process the information you provide (e.g. name, email address, message) in order to answer your enquiry. Form submissions are transmitted and stored via Netlify (Netlify Forms); emails are received via our email provider Posteo.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (answering your enquiry) or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract. Retention: we delete your enquiry once it has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Storage in your browser (only with your consent)
On your first visit we ask whether the website may store settings in your browser. Only if you agree, the following is stored in this browser tab’s storage (sessionStorage): light/dark mode, text size, your series selection and the last selection you viewed. If you decline, only that decision itself is stored so the question does not reappear on every page.
This data never leaves your device and is deleted automatically as soon as you close the browser tab or window. No cookies are set. You can change your decision at any time via “Storage settings” at the bottom of each page; withdrawing consent deletes the stored settings immediately.
Legal basis: your consent pursuant to § 25(1) TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act); storing your decision itself is based on § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG.
6. Links to other websites
This website contains links to broadcasters, streaming services and sources. Data is only transferred to the respective provider when you follow a link; their privacy policy then applies.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). Please contact lennart.e@posteo.de.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
