About the project
Hi, I’m Lennart, a motorsport fan from Berlin. Where to Racing is my private project, with no company or client behind it.
How it started
It all started with a simple question: where can I actually watch IMSA? And then: where’s WEC on, where’s DTM, where’s Formula 4? Every series has different broadcasters, every country is different again, and the answers are scattered across dozens of websites. At some point I thought: this has to be easier. So I built the overview I always wanted to have.
A test project with Claude Code
At the same time, this site is an experiment for me. I wanted to find out what’s possible today when building a website with Claude Code, an AI coding assistant made by Anthropic. I’m not a developer. Research, texts and code were created in conversation with Claude Code. I said what I wanted, made the decisions, checked the results and kept refining until it felt right.
A few things that came out of it:
- Around 1,500 individual pages in English and German, one for every country and series. They’re generated automatically from a single data file.
- A source for every option, so you can check for yourself where the information comes from.
- A site with no ads, no cookies and no tracking in your browser. Settings like light/dark mode are only stored if you agree, and they’re deleted when you close the tab.
What the site shows
For 18 series in 39 countries and regions, you’ll find TV channels, streaming services and official free options. “Free” and “Subscription” are only shown where a source explicitly says so. Otherwise it says “Price n/a”, because I’d rather not claim anything I can’t back up.
Where the information comes from
It’s based on the series’ official broadcast pages and the price sources linked for each option. Data as of 16.10.2026. Broadcasting rights change constantly, sometimes from race to race. And since a lot of it was researched with AI assistance, something may occasionally be off despite checking. So there’s no guarantee.
What the site doesn’t do
There are no streams here. The site only links to official, legal offers.
Why there’s a Ko-fi support link
The site is free and is meant to stay that way. But it isn’t free for me: the domain costs money every year, and hosting at Netlify gets more expensive the more people visit. If the site helps you and you’d like to, you can chip in via Ko-fi. It’s completely voluntary, and the site works the same for everyone.
Found a mistake or have an idea?
If a broadcaster is missing, something is out of date or you’re missing a series, just email me at lennart.e@posteo.de. I’m happy about any feedback, including on the site itself.
